2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Spotted Testing Again

- The 2017 Swift Dzire will be launched in India in the 2nd half of 2017
- Mechanically, it remains the same as the current model
- There will updates to the features list along with the exterior
Maruti Suzuki has started the New Year with a resounding bang and launched the Ignis. The company has big plans for 2017, which will see a lot of launches as well. This is not the first time the new-gen Dzire was spotted testing and it only confirms that Maruti Suzuki will be launching the 2017 Swift Dzire before it launches the 2017 Swift, which will go on to make its global debut at the Geneva Auto Show to be held in March, 2017.
(The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will take its styling cues from the new-gen Suzuki Swift)The Swift Dzire has been a best-seller for Maruti Suzuki and the new-gen model will share most of its new design with upcoming new-gen Swift. From what we can gather, the new-gen Dzire will feature a re-styled headlamp cluster, a new grille, new fog lamps and also LED DRLs. A complete new front end then! The rear too will see new LED tail lamps and get a new bumper along with some cosmetic updates. Also, there will be newly designed alloys and ORVM in the offing.

Maruti Suzuki might also also offer ABS and airbags as standard across variants as well. As far as engine options are concerned, Maruti will most likely continue with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel. There will be an option between the 5-speed manual, a 4-speed torque converter and an AMT unit. We might also see Maruti come up with a SHVS mild hybrid technology on the new-gen Dzire as it did with the Ciaz and the Ertiga. The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will be launched in India in the second half of 2016.
