Maruti Suzuki Ignis: Prices Start At Rs. 4.59 Lakh

- The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be retailed out of Nexa dealerships
- It is available in 6 colours
- Maruti Suzuki also offers a bunch of customisation options
Maruti Suzuki Ignis has been finally launched in India at an introductory price tag of Rs. 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Maruti Suzuki has kickstarted 2017 with a bang and as is typical of the company, it invited EDM sensation and world famous DJ Axwell to perform at the launch event of the Ignis. The company, as usual, has managed to price it aggressively. The price tag of the lgnis will certainly make manufacturers like Hyundai and Mahindra rethink its positioning and strategy in India. Here's our spec comparison that examines how the Maruti Suzuki Ignis fares against the Grand i10 and KUV100.
Moving on, the Ignis will also be the third product to go on sale from the Nexa chain of showrooms and will be the most affordable model there. It is Maruti Suzuki's second new car in FY 2016-17 and the Baleno RS too will be launched soon.
A successor to the Maruti Wagon R of sorts, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is targeted at millennial buyers as per the company and has already garnered 6000 bookings since they were first announced exclusively online. The new model shares its underpinnings with the Baleno and will be produced at Maruti's Gurugram facility, commanding a waiting period of 7-8 weeks. We have already told you the 10 things to know about the Ignis, but here is everything you need to know about Maruti's latest offering.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis
The new Maruti Suzuki Ignis is the second product to be built on the Baleno platform and has an extremely unconventional design. While we have discussed the design in detail, the flat body styling gives it the aggressive and masculine appearance, while the accentuated wheel arches, short overhangs squared headlamps and a sharp C-pillar lend a butch appeal to the micro SUV.
