2019 Chevrolet Cruze Revealed

Last year, General Motors announced that the American carmakers are exiting India and shutting down operations of the Chevrolet brand. This came as a major shock for the Indian automobile industry as Chevrolet India was one of the major players at the time. Irrespective of the reason for its exit, Chevrolet India sold one of the most popular sedans in the country, and for 2019, Chevrolet USA has updated the Cruze with minor styling updates and gets a brand new Infotainment system. Although, Chevrolet is no longer part of the Indian market, we thought of updating our readers about the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze for old times' sake.

"Cruze is a cornerstone of Chevrolet's car strategy, bringing new customers to the brand," said Steve Majoros, Chevrolet marketing director for Cars and Crossovers. "In fact, 53 per cent of Cruze customers in 2017 were new to Chevrolet. Cruze has been so successful at attracting new buyers to Chevy because its lineup offers something for every customer, from body style to fuel choice to trim and design."
For 2019, Chevrolet has updated the Cruze's front fascia and grilles. The revised grille designs highlight Cruzes' premium appearance, while the signature dual-element tail lamps now feature LED accent lighting. The 2019 Cruze also gets remote start, automatic climate control, new wheel designs and black window moldings along with the bowtie emblems and 17-inch machined wheels for the RS package. It also gets the new Umber color on the inside.

Under the hood, the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze will come with the same 1.4L turbo and 1.6L turbo-diesel engines. The recent introductions of the Cruze hatch and diesel models helped push the car to a 0.6-per cent retail market share gain in 2017 and helped Chevrolet secure its third consecutive year of higher overall retail market share.
The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze will go on sale later this year and will come in sedan and hatchback models.
