The Adaptive Cruise Control is an optional feature with front and rear radars on the Multistrada V4
The Multistrada V4 S's radar technology is an advanced rider aid system that manages two functions: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). The ACC is perfectly integrated into the bike, which by means of controlled braking and acceleration automatically maintains the distance (selectable on four levels) from other vehicles. The ACC system allows for more comfortable riding, especially on long highway journeys.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 is powered by the V4 Granturismo engine, which makes 168 bhp, 125 Nm
The Blind Spot Detection (BSD) technology, housed under the taillight, can detect and report vehicles approaching in the so-called blind spot, namely the area not visible either directly by the rider or through the rear-view mirror. The BSD system monitors traffic behind the rider and displays a rider warning thanks to the LEDs positioned in the rear-view mirrors. If the user activates the direction indicator expressing the intention to change lane, the BSD flashes the LED signaling a potentially dangerous condition.

The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 is the first production motorcycle to get adaptive cruise control
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is powered by the V4 Granturismo engine, which makes 168 bhp, 125 Nm. Visually, the Ducati Multistrada V4 looks somewhat similar to the v-twin models with a familiar face, complete with the small beak below the LED headlight. The bodywork has layered air vent silts to aid in improved aerodynamics and better thermal comfort. The 1,158 cc V4 engine is lighter, shorter and more compact than the 1,260 cc v-twin engine of the Multistrada 1260. The engine, which uses valve springs instead of Ducati's traditional desmodromic valve system, is claimed to make 168 bhp at 10,500 rpm, and 125 Nm of peak torque at 8,750 rpm. The engine also comes with 60,000 km valve service intervals. The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 is available in three variants, the base V4, V4 S and V4 S Sport.
