2021 Honda Amaze Facelift Variants And Specifications Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Honda Cars India is all set to launch the facelifted version of the Amaze in the country on August 18, 2021. The Japanese carmaker is already taking pre-bookings for the updated subcompact sedan with a token amount of Rs. 21,000. Interested customers can also pre-book the car from their homes via 'Honda from Home' platform for Rs. 5,000. It is being produced at the company's manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Ahead of its official launch, a transport department document has surfaced online revealing key specifications and variants details.

The upcoming 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will be available in both petrol and diesel options

According to the leaked document, the dimensions of the sedan will remain unchanged. It will measure 3995 mm in length, 1695 mm in width and 1498 mm (1501 mm - CVT) in height while wheelbase will stand at 2470 mm. From what we can see there will be a total of 13 variants on offer across four trims - E, S, V and VX. As per the details, diesel CVT variants will be limited only to V and VX trims.

The 2021 Honda Amaze will get several cosmetic changes, including a new grille, LED projector headlamps with integrated signature LED DRLs, LED front fog lamps with sleek chrome garnish, restyled bumpers, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome outer door handle, C-shaped LED taillights and more.

The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will be offered in four trims - E, S, V and VX.

On the inside, the overall cabin layout will largely remain similar to the outgoing model. It will get new fabric upholstery, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice command activation, rear parking camera with multi-view and guidelines, push-button start, automatic AC, and more.

Under the hood, the Honda Amaze facelift will continue to get the same set of powertrains. It includes a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. The former is capable of making 89 bhp and 110 Nm, whereas the latter is tuned to make 99 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional CVT automatic. Do note, the diesel CVT version makes only 79 bhp and 160 Nm. When launched, the new Amaze will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, Ford Aspire and the Hyundai Aura.
