2021 Maserati Ghibli Range Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 1.15 Crore

Maserati India has introduced the 2021 Ghibli range in the country with a slew of updates including a new engine offer. The comprehensively updated 2021 Maserati Ghibli was unveiled last year and gets styling and feature upgrades, along with the addition of a hybrid powertrain. The new Ghibli range is priced from Rs. 1.15 crore for the base Hybrid version, going up to Rs. 1.93 crore for the range-topping Trofeo version. All prices are ex-showroom India. The sports sedan in a total of three engine options and two trims - GranLusso and GranSport.

The 2021 Maserati Ghibli comes with refreshed styling while keeping things familiar. The front profile has been updated for a sharper look and the model now comes with full-adaptive LED Matrix headlamps complemented by the signature grille, while the rear gets the new boomerang-shaped LED taillights inspired by the Maserati 3200 GT. The model now uses a lightweight steel chassis while retaining the 50:50 weight distribution. The sports sedan can be had in the Nerissimo and Nerissimo Carbon packages as well, while the GranLusso and GranSport luxury trims continue to be on offer.

In terms of hardware, the 2021 Maserati Ghibli continues to use Brembo brakes and calipers, while the exhaust has been optimised for a better aural note, a defining trait for the manufacturer. The new Ghibli also comes with Skyhook suspensions that use sensors to monitor the movement of each wheel and the vehicle body to determine the road conditions, and automatically adjust each damper for optimal ride quality.

The new Ghibli sports a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen system with Maserati Connect. There's also a new 7-inch TFT display
Inside, the new Maserati Ghibli comes with a handful of changes including a new and modern layout. The big change is the new and larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that now gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and also supports Maserati Connect. The latter is the automaker's connected car technology that can be used via a smartphone app and gives a tonne of new data and features to the owner including a virtual personal assistant. The car also gets a new 7-inch instrument console.

Other features on the 2021 Ghibli include soft-close doors, keyless entry, power trunk with a kick sensor, and Level 2 ADAS that brings autonomous driving on the car. It has also helped the car achieve a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP results.

The 2021 Maserati is offered with three engine options. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid remains the most affordable model and produces 325 bhp and 450 Nm. The 3.0-litre V6 develops 424 bhp and 580 Nm of peak torque, while the 3.8-litre V8 Trofeo version makes 572 bhp and 730 Nm of peak torque. The top speed on the Ghibli Trofeo is rated at 326 kmph.
