MV Agusta has unveiled the 2021 MV Agusta F3 800 Rosso, an entry-level supersport which meets the latest Euro 5 emission regulations. With the new announcement, the F3 family also enters the Rosso versions in 2021, with the F3 800 Rosso becoming the most accessible sports bike from the Italian brand. The base platform remains intact, with a 798 cc, inline three-cylidner engine with a counter rotating crankshaft, which continues to deliver 147 bhp at 13,000 rpm, while peak torque is 88 Nm at 10,100 rpm. The 798 cc triple-cylinder engine of the 2021 MV Agusta F3 800 Rosso gets new internals, and a IMU-controlled electronics suite
The engine has new internal components which reduce friction, such as new sintered valve guides and machined tappets, new connecting rods, new injectors, modified exhaust manifold, new muffler and also a new clutch. The ECU also receives a software update that refines its operation, and a new two-way radiator is said to improve cooling and efficiency. The most significant change in the F3 800 Rosso is the introduction of IMU-enabled electronics, which aid the cornering ABS, with rear wheel mitigation function on hard braking and traction control. There's also wheelie control, departure control and cruise control.

The single-sided swingarm is mounted on new castings on the aluminium alloy plates, offering torsional and longitudinal stiffness to the chassis
On the chassis, the 2021 MV Agusta F3 800 Rosso have re-designed castings for the central aluminium alloy plates on which the single-sided swingarm pivots. The result is increased torsional and longitudinal stiffness, which offer better stability, and balance. There's also a new 5.5-inch TFT screen equipped with connectivity and able to communicate with the MV Ride App. The app also offers turn-by-turn navigation on the screen. The handlebar controls with the launch control function are new.

After exiting India with the failed collaboration with the Kinetic Group's MotoRoyale venture, MV Agusta has not made a re-entry into the Indian market. Recently, the Italian brand re-launched operations in the US, and the brand also is investing a lot in global footprint expansion, as well as product development. A toe hold in the world's biggest motorcycle market, that is India, does make sense, but it has to make a solid business case, including local assembly, or at best, bringing bikes to India, to offer them at competitive rates, as well as offer a solid after-sales network.
