2022 Hyundai Tucson India Bookings Open

- Booking amount set at Rs 50,000
- Available via Hyundai's Signature dealership chain
- Available in two variants - Platinum and Signature
Hyundai has opened bookings for its flagship Tucson mid-size SUV in India ahead of its launch next month. The new Tucson will be available in two variants – Platinum and Signature – with two engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Both engines are solely available with automatic gearboxes as standard with the diesel also getting the option of all-wheel drive. The booking amount is set at Rs. 50,000.
The new Tucson also features an all-new design in-side and out being one of Hyundai’s first models globally to get the company’s new Sensual Sportiness design language. The SUV features several cuts and creases along its exterior surfaces giving the SUV an edgier design compared to the outgoing model. The nose is dominated by Hyundai Parametric Jewel Design grille with a darkened chrome finish flanked on either side by L-shaped segmented LED DRLS. The cabin up front features a split-cockpit look with a 10.25-inch touchscreen dominating the centre console with a second similar sized free standing unit sitting behind the steering. Hyundai is offering a choice of five single tone and two dual tone colour options for the Tucson.
Moving to the equipment, the highlight for the new Tucson will be its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Hyundai is offering level 2 ADAS tech on board the Tucson with the SUV capable of identifying other cars, two-wheelers and pedestrians in its path and take avoidance measures. The SUV also packs in blind-spot and cross-traffic collision warning and avoidance functions along with lane keep assist and smart cruise control with stop and go.
Other notable tech on offer includes a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, BlueLink connected vehicle tech, Bose Audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, hands free tailgate opening and more.
Safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, hill descent control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
On the engine front, the Tucson is available with either a 154 bhp 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 184 bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol is available with a 6-speed automatic while the diesel uses a 8-speed automatic as standard. The diesel also gets the option of all-wheel drive in the Signature variant.
The new Tucson can be booked at 246 outlets spread across 125 cities in India. The SUV will be available via the company’s Signature Outlet chain.
