2022 Skoda Octavia And Superb To Get New Features; Details Leaked

Skoda Auto India is likely to launch the 2022 Model Year version of the Octavia and Superb sedans soon. A set of new images, which appear to be from an internal presentation, have leaked online, revealing the new features, which will be offered, with the 2022 Skoda Octavia and the 2022 Superb. The 2022 Skoda Octavia, which was launched earlier this year, will get an anti-theft alarm with interior monitoring. The safety feature now comes as standard with both the Style and the L&K variants. The car will also get a new Graphite Grey colour option.

As for the 2022 Skoda Superb, only the top-spec Laurin & Klement variant of the car will receive updates. The changes include the addition of two new body colour options - Graphite Grey and Brilliant Silver, which are expected to replace the Business Grey and Magnetic Brown shades. The other three existing colours for the L&K trim will include Moon White, Lava Blue and Magic Black, have been retained.

Skoda will also offer a new Cognac leather interior package for the L&K trim of the Superb, which will come with a massage function for the driver seat. The Skoda Superb Sportline trim is likely to remain unchanged, featuring the same three body colours - Race Blue, Steel Grey, and Moon White. The cabin too comes continues to come with the same Alcantara interior.

Mechanically, both the Skoda Superb and the Octavia will remain unchanged and will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that is tuned to churn out 188 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine, in both cars, comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard. Currently, the Skoda Superb is priced at Rs. 32.85 lakh and Rs. 35.85 lakh (ex-showroom, India). On the other hand, the Octavia is right now priced at Rs. 26.29 lakh and Rs. 29.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
