All New Yamaha YZF-R25 to be Unveiled on May 20

Putting an end to all the speculations, Japanese bike maker Yamaha has now officially announced to unveil the much anticipated YZF-R25 on May 20th. The bike will also be launched in India.

    Putting an end to all the speculations, Japanese bike maker Yamaha has now officially announced to unveil the much anticipated YZF-R25 on May 20th. The announcement has come through a teaser image on Yamaha Indonesia's Facebook page. The bike will also be launched in India. First unveiled as R25 concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, followed by its unveiling at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the bike received a great response.

    The bike is said to have taken its inspiration from Yamha's YZR-M1 racer. The bike's twin headlamps look similar to the the Yamaha R15's, but has integrated indicators. Since the YZF-R25 will be similar to the the concept, expect it to have 2000mm length, 720mm width ad 1140mm height.

    Expected to be built on a tubular chassis, the YZF R-25 will have a 250cc, liquid, cooled, two-cylinder, four-stroke engine, capable of churning out a maximum power around 35bhp. Though, the exact specifications will only be revealed at the launch.

    The new bike will take on the likes of Ninja 300 and Honda CBR250R.
