Ather 450 Now Rs. 24,000 Cheaper In Maharashtra

- Ather 450 Plus now priced at Rs. 1.04 lakh in Maharashtra
- Ather 450 X priced at Rs. 1.23 lakh in Maharashtra
- Maharashtra EV policy set to make electric two-wheelers more affordable
Ather Energy has announced massive price cuts for its Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450 X electric scooters in Maharashtra, thanks to the state government rolling out its new EV policy. On the Ather Energy website, the Ather 450 Plus has been listed with a price of Rs. 1,03,731, while the Ather 450 X has been listed with a price of Rs. 1,22,741. These prices are inclusive of GST, but exclude insurance, road tax and registration charges. The prices include a FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) subsidy of Rs. 43,500, as well as a Maharashtra state subsidy of Rs. 24,500.

While still priced at a premium, the Ather 450 range now appears to be more accessible than before. In Maharashtra, the electric scooter has one of the lowerst prices across the country.

Both the Ather 450 Plus and the Ather 450 X come with 3 years warranty on the battery, as well as three years warranty on the vehicle. The price includes either a home charger, Ather Dot, with 3 years warranty, or a portable charger with 3 years warranty. In Maharashtra, Ather Energy operates in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Nagpur, and has plans to expand its existing network within Mumbai and Pune.

The fast-charging AtherGrid network can charge the 450X at a speed of 1.5 km/minute. It goes down to 1 km/minute on the 450 Plus
The main difference between the Ather 450 Plus and the Ather 450 X is that the 450 X offers better range and performance, and also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. Both the 450 Plus and 450 X looks more or less identical, and come with full-LED lighting, a touchscreen display, 22-litre boot space, a reverse mode and fast charging facility. The Ather Grid charging network offers easy access to charging ports within the cities where Ather Energy operates in.
