Auto Expo 2018: Know Dates, Venue Details, Ticket Prices & Other Details

The Auto Expo 2018 is starting this week, from February 7 to February 14, 2018. While the initial two days will be open for media personnel, the Auto Expo will be open for public viewing from the February 9. The Auto Expo 2018 is Asia's biggest and the world's second-largest motor show there is a great deal of anticipation and excitement around the popular biennial automotive event. This year the motor show has a host of exciting launches and showcases, right from the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Swift to the unveiling of the new Mahindra convertible SUV concept. Like always, The 2018 Auto Expo will include two major events - The Motor Show and the Components Show, both of which are in their 14th edition, however the latter will be open for public viewing from February 8 itself. While we have already told you a fair deal about the even some of our earlier reports, here is all the detailed information about the venue, event dates and all other things that you need to know about the Indian Auto Expo 2018.

The Auto Expo Dates:
The public days for the 2018 Auto Expo - The Motor Show is set to be held from 9th to 14th February 2018, while Components Show will be held from the 8th - 11th February 2018. The media says and invite based entry will take place on the 7th and 8th of February 2018. The joint inauguration of Auto Expo 2018 will be held on February 8.

The Motor Show will be help at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida and Component Show in Pragati Maidan
The Auto Expo Venue:
As mentioned the Auto Expo 2018 comprises two major events the Motor Show and the Components Show. While until the 2014 Auto Expo, both the events were held at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, since 2016 the Motor Show relocated to the India Expo Mart, in Greater Noida. Similarly, this year to the Motor Show has been organised in Greater Noida and the Component Show in New Delhi.

The Auto Expo Ticket Prices:
Tickers for the auto expo can either be bought only at BookMyShow or from outlets that have been positioned at some the key metro stations, namely - Okhla Bird Sanctuary, Rajiv Chowk, Botanical Garden, Kalkaji, Pragati Maidan, Mandi House, and Sikandarpur. Price of the vary based on days and viewing hours. Ticket prices during the business hours (10:00 am to 01:00 pm) on February 9, 12 and 13, is Rs. 750, whereas cost of the ticket for general public hours (01:00 pm to 06:00 pm) is Rs. 350. Being a weekend, ticket prices on the 10th and 11th, are Rs. 475, for the entire day (10:00 am to 07:00 pm). Finally the price of the ticket for the final day, February 14, will be Rs. 450 and the viewing hours will be limited from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm.
The Auto Expo Site Layout:

The India Expo Mart offers exhibition area, convention facilities, business lounges for the Auto Expo 2018
The Motor Show - The India Expo Mart is spread over 58 acres of land with around 65,000 square metres exhibition area & convention facilities, business lounges, VIP lounges, business centre, restaurants, food courts, parking area, storage and warehouse facilities. Exhibition halls are Wi-Fi enabled centralised public address system along with CCTV coverage. As seen in the site plan, the venue for the Auto Expo 2018 has a total a 12 entry and exit gates but main entry point will be through gate number 3 and 4. There are a total of 16 exhibition halls in the vicinity along with several food courts, first aid and medical centres, desiccated parking facility, media hall and more.
The Component Show - The component show will be held at hall 7A-H, 8-12A, lake hangar (hall A-C) at the Pragati Maidan. The event location is spread over 60,000 square metres, offering special display areas for components.

This year the Auto Expo 2018 will see a number of new and old players participating
The Participants:
This year's Auto Expo Motor Show will see a number of manufacturers participate with some exciting new launches, concepts and much more to showcase. Along with leading brands like Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai India, Honda Cars India, Toyota, Mahindra, and others, this year's motor show will also see participation from a new, upcoming entrant Kia Motors. As for the manufactures, who'll be giving the Auto Expo 2018 a miss this year, includes the Volkswagen Group, with brands like VW, Audi, Skoda and the rest, Nissan India, Bajaj Auto, Royal Enfield and few others.
The Component Show is expected to see participation from about 20 counties across the world and while most of them will be from India, the list includes several participants from the USA, China, Canada, Taiwan, Italy and more. This list includes both established and well as new companies.
