Imagine it's your wedding, and as the groom, you get to make a grand entry in a helicopter. Amazing right? Well, an almost similar experience is what several grooms in Bihar are getting thanks to Guddu Sharma, a resident of Bagaha. The mechanic cum innovator has converted his Tata Nano car into a non-flying helicopter and has been renting it out for weddings for Rs. 15,000. Sharma has invested around Rs. 2 lakh to convert his car into a helicopter and says that several people have been booking it for their weddings.
Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, Guddu Sharma said that he saw there was a huge demand for helicopters during weddings. Although many wised to bring their new bride home in such a grand manner, it wasn't economically possible. This is why he turned his Nano into a helicopter so that there could be a more affordable option for everyone.

Guddu Sharma says he made this vehicle so that there could be a more affordable helicopter that people could rent for their weddings
Talking about his creation, Guddu said, "In the era of Digital India, this invention is a living example of self-reliant India. One and a half lakh rupees are spent in making such a 'helicopter', whereas this hi-tech helicopter will cost more than two lakh rupees to give many advanced facilities." Guddu has used metal panels to give it a helicopter-like design, and it also comes with the main rotor, a tail boom, and a tail rotor. Sharma admits that he's not the first one in Bihar to create such a vehicle.

A few years ago, another innovator from Bihar, one Mithilesh Prasad from Chhapra, had also converted his Nano into a helicopter and that is from where Guddu got his idea. However, Mithilesh's reasons were different. He had a childhood dream of designing a helicopter, which he fulfilled with his special creation. While that too could not fly, compared to Guddu's helicopter car, it looks better designed with proper finishing inside out. Prasad had spent seven months completing the vehicle and had invested Rs. 7 lakh in the project. The vehicle came with LED lights in the rotors and the cabin too was designed like a cockpit.
