BMW 8 Series Coupe To Debut At Le Mans
BMW is gearing up to unveil its biggest product of the year, the new 8 Series coupe at the Le Mans on June 15. After months of teasing and spy shots of the test mules, the Bavarian carmakers will finally pull the wraps off the new 8 Series coupe for the general public at the iconic endurance race. This will also be the first time that the production version of the 8 Series coupe will be revealed in its full glory.

According to the invite sent to sales representatives of BMW, the all-new BMW 8 Series coupe will have its world premiere on Friday night and will be display at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The invite said, "The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the world's oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France and is considered is one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world. For the 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-17 June 2018) winners will provided a full experiential packages with a Highlight... the world premiere of the all-new BMW 8 Series on Friday night."

As far as the design goes, the new BMW 8 Series will be similar to the 8 Series Coupe Concept showcased last year. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, Bentley Continental GT rival will have lots in common with the 6 Series and is based on the modular Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform.

Under the hood, the new BMW 8 Series will be much more powerful than the 6 Series. We expect the 8 Series to feature a 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder from the 7 Series with power of 335 bhp, while the more powerful 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 engine will produce 455 bhp.
