BMW iX vs Jaguar I-Pace vs Audi e-tron vs Mercedes-Benz EQC: Price Comparison

- The BMW iX is available in a fully-loaded xDrive40 trim at Rs. 1.16 crore
- The Jaguar I-Pace & Audi e-tron are offered in multiple variants
- The Mercedes-Benz EQC arrives in a single variant too at Rs. 1.04 crore
The BMW iX has been launched in India in the single xDrive40 variant priced at Rs. 1.16 crore (ex-showroom). It is the brand's first all-electric offering in the country and also the Bavarian carmaker's first-ever electric SUV. BMW says the iX promises the practicality of the X5, the luxury of the X7 and the dynamics of the X6. And while we'll agree with the first two claims, we are yet to test out the third. But a review is in the works for sure. That being said, BMW is one of the last luxury players to enter the EV SUV space, which already has a handful of options. So where does the new iX stand on the pricing front when compared to its rivals? Let's take a look.

The company claims a range of 470 km on a single charge. Compared to the BMW iX, the Jaguar manages to undercut the model by a fair margin. Audi India also made headway in the electric mobility space with not one but three launches. This included the e-tron and e-tron Sportback as well as the e-tron GT. The former offerings are direct rivals to the iX and match closely too when you compare specs of either model. Both the e-tron and e-tron Sportback carry the same mechanicals with the 95 kWh lithium-ion battery pack while the two electric motors, one on each axle, develop 402 bhp and 664 Nm. Audi claims a longer range on the e-tron at 484 km on a single charge. The Audi e-tron Quattro 50 manages to undercut the iX by a good margin with a sticker price of Rs. 1.01 crore, while the fully-loaded e-tron Quattro 55 commands a premium at Rs. 1.17 crore. The e-tron Sportback 55 brings a coupe roofline for more exclusivity and is priced at Rs. 1.19 crore (ex-showroom).
