Bounce Infinity Electric Scooter Announced Ahead Of Launch

- The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be unveiled soon
- The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will get swappable batteries
- Bounce will set-up battery swapping stations for B2B & B2C customers
Bangalore-based last-mile mobility solutions company, Bounce, is all set to introduce its first-ever electric scooter. Badged as the Bounce Infinity, the company dropped the first image of the upcoming model with an official reveal soon. Bounce promises that the new Infinity will be equipped with "enhanced state-of-the-art equipment and intelligent features." Pre-bookings for the new Bounce Infinity will begin in a few days while the company promises deliveries from January 2022 onwards.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will come with removable batteries allowing users to charge them as per their requirements. The company says customers will also have the option to purchase the scooter without the battery. This will lower the acquisition price for the customer since the battery can make up for about 40-50 per cent of the electric scooter's cost. Instead, customers benefit from the company's swapping network.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be made at the Rajasthan-based facility, acquired from 22Motors
Bounce will build its own battery-swapping network that will serve retail and its ride-sharing business. Customers who opt for the battery swapping feature will be able to use it as a service wherein the customer rents a fully-charged battery whenever they require one. This, the company says will reduce the running cost of the scooter by 40 per cent over a conventional petrol-powered scooter.
Originally into the ride-sharing business, Bounce enters the retail space after its acquisition of 22Motors last year in a deal valued at $7 million. The company's upcoming scooter will be built at 22Motors' Rajasthan-based facility in Bhiwadi. The plant has an annual production capacity of 180,000 scooters per year. The company also says that it plans to set-up another manufacturing facility in South India. Bounce also announced its plans to invest another $100 million in the EV business over the next year.
