In addition to launching the Infinity electric scooter, Bounce will also set up battery swapping stations for customers. The scooter will be sold with the battery pack as optional, allowing buyers a lower acquisition price along with access to the company's swapping stations on a pay as you use policy. The company says the scooter will be using a lithium-ion unit that can be carried back to home or office for charging convenience. Bounce says the optional battery pack will reduce the running cost of the scooter by 40 per cent over a conventional petrol-powered offering.

The facility has an installed capacity of 180,000 scooters per year. Bounce has also set aside $100 million for further investment in the EV business next year. The company is planning to set up its second plant somewhere in the South in the future.
