British Cars And The Logos

Brand logos for car manufacturers are of the utmost importance. People recognize a certain brand by its iconic logo. A lot of thought and brainstorming goes into planning and successfully designing logos. There are various approaches that brands take – some go for a simple logo, some go for a complex logo, some go for more colours and some go for a more regal look. The British brands have some fascinating logos that we shall take a look at!
Aston Martin
Since 1913
The Aston Martin logo is pretty symbolic, as you can figure out by design. The name is embedded in a rectangle that is placed over open wings. The colour scheme includes black, green, and white. These colours symbolise freedom, speed, exploration, dreams, and a sense of royalty and elegance.

Bentley
Since 1919
The emblem for the brand is known as “Big B”. The logo consists of 2 open wings – they symbolize that Bentley cars are the closest to having wings. The centre circle consists of a “B” which symbolizes the classic initials for the brand.

Jaguar
Since 1935
The logo for this iconic brand is a literal jaguar – a sleek jaguar, silver in colour that is mid-leap and has a royal snarl on its face. The symbol amplifies the feelings of elegance and a sense of luxury. The logo is very powerful – the Jaguar signifies the speed and agility with the car glides through the road.

Rolls-Royce
Since 1904
The Rolls-Royce logo is called “The Spirit of Ecstasy” or “The Flying Lady”. Ecstasy means pure joy and happiness – something which this brand prides itself in providing. Sculptor Charles Sykes captured the beauty of English actress Eleanor Thornton. The logo is a symbol of love and passion.

Land Rover
Since 1948
The Land Rover logo is simple and beautiful in its design. The words “LAND ROVER” are etched on a rich green background. The color of the words is white so that the background looks regal and more aesthetic!

McLaren
Since 1985
Michael Turner, a brilliant artist and close friend of Bruce McLaren, designed the iconic logo. The design is jet black and based on a kiwi, the national symbol of New Zealand (Bruce McLaren's home country).

Mini
Since 1950
The word “MINI” is etched on a circle placed between 2 open wings. The wings give a sense of freedom, speed, and agility. The design is also aimed to capture the economic value of the car. The car is compact and affordable to the masses while providing all the benefits to the customer.

Vauxhall
Since 1903
The logo is based on a legendary mythical creature called the “Griffin”. The creature is portrayed as a powerful champion with a lion body and eagle head. The Griffin is the heraldic symbol of Sir Falkes de Breaute.
