Highlights

The Audi e-Tron GT is Audi's flagship EV, and the sportier guise of the EV - the Audi RS e-Tron GT - has won the 2022 Sports Car of the Year award! Considering the tough competition it faced from brilliant cars like Ferrari F8 Tributo & Roma, Lamborghini Huracan RWD and Huracan STO, and the Porsche Taycan, this is a very remarkable achievement for the EV to win this award.

The Audi RS e-Tron GT is Audi's spiritual successor to the revered R8, and it surely looks the part. The car shares its underpinnings with other Volkswagen group EVs like the Porsche Taycan, and has the same 93.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is good for a range of upto 480 kms, and while that may be a little optimistic, a range of around 380 kms is very achievable on the 4-door EV.

The RS e-Tron GT puts out a whopping 637 bhp and 830 Nm of instant torque which is delivered by dual synchronous motors, one on each axle. This also gives the EV quattro all-wheel drive capability. The car is unsurprisingly the happiest out on the road, and is sharper, faster, and more dynamic than the standard e-Tron GT.
