Ever since Bentley made revelation about rolling out a SUV, the entire world had gone gung-ho about it. The SUV named Bentayga is finally making its way into the Indian market this week. Being stamped (or rather claimed) the most expensive and fastest SUV in the world, Bentayga gets the powerful twin-turbocharged W12 engine with a capacity of 6.0 litres. Power output is massive at 600bhp along with peak torque of 900Nm. Bentley claims the SUV to achieve 100 kmph mark from stand still within 4.1 while attaining top speed of 301 kmph. The 5.14 meters long SUV and almost three meters long wheelbase hints at a capacious cabin with ample space for passengers. Standard features such as full leather interiors, split-folding heated 4+1 rear seats, acoustic side glass and IR front screen, panoramic tilt/slide sunroof with electric blind, 8 inch touch-screen infotainment system with 60GB HDD, navigation, voice control with text-to-speech, AMI, CD, MP3 and SD cards are available on the SUV.

Even the boot space has been extended by 85 litres which means more space for storing luggage. Although, the SUV measures 36mm shorter, but it is around 21mm wider and 53mm taller than predecessor. On the outside, the SUV gets reworked LED head lamps, tail lamps and subtly tweaked front grille. The overall weight has also been decreased by 135 kgs, all thanks to the new UKL platform. Under the hood is the 2.0 litre diesel powertrain developing 190bhp along with 400Nm and it comes mated to an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox with paddle shifters. A petrol engine is expected to be added to the range later this year.
