The new car is the first in a family of models that Chery intends to sell in European markets across multiple segments. The all-new, high quality platform has been specifically developed for the new model line. The distinctive form of the all-new compact SUV flows from Chery's progressive 'Life In Motion' design philosophy, developed by Chief Designer, James Hope. This evolution of Chery's brand style is aimed at young, urban, forward-thinking customers who choose sophisticated, high quality products.
The Tiggo Coupe Concept is an SUV with coupe-like design. Many of the feature lines in the vehicle is inspired by nature and incorporate 'hydrodynamic surfacing' characteristics. The coupe-like design sits on a new modular architecture and incorporates advanced technology, including a multifunctional interactive steering wheel that can be folded and used as a game controller to play video games in autonomous driving mode.

Reflecting Chery's focus on developing advanced alternative-fuel powertrains the Tiggo Coupe Concept uses a 120 kW E-motor combined with a Lithium-Ion battery pack. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7 seconds, has a maximum speed of more than 200 kmph and delivers a driving range of up to 500 km.
In addition to the futuristic and forward-looking design, both the Tiggo 5x and Tiggo 7 models also offer a dynamic yet simple interior. The Tiggo 5x is the most recent TIGGO model while the hydrodynamic lines of the Tiggo 7 are inspired by the international award-winning design of the TX Concept.
Chery plans to start sales of passenger cars in Europe within the next few years and is evaluating the sales opportunity in key markets, ahead of setting up a European sales operation in co-operation with import and distribution partners. New international design and R&D facilities in Europe will help accelerate Chery's plans for global expansion.
