Daimler India Delivers 20 BharatBenz Buses For Intercity Application In Bihar

- Daimler India handed over 20 units of BharatBenz buses to Nyay Rath
- BharatBenz buses come with 'BSafe' features for COVID-19 prevention
- These buses will be employed for intercity application
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) delivered 20 units of BharatBenz buses in Begusarai, which is one of the primary bus hubs in Bihar, through its dealer partner Gautam Trucking. The company handed over 16 units of '1017' model buses and four units of '1624' model buses for intercity application to Nyay Rath. The delivery indicates signs of recovery of the bus segment in the east. The buses come well-equipped with 'BSafe', a range of features that help prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, including hands-free doors, sanitisers, and temperature sensors.

BharatBenz's 1017 and 1624 buses produce a maximum power of 167 bhp and 236 bhp with a maximum torque of 520 Nm and 859 Nm respectively. The 1017 buses come equipped with safety features like a sturdy framework, a robust body, and intelligent braking systems. Features of the intercity bus include an overdrive gear gearbox, parabolic leaf springs, front, and rear telescopic shock absorbers.
