Datsun Starts Pre-Booking Of The redi-GO AMT

Datsun India has commenced pre-launch bookings for the Datsun redi-GO 1.0 - litre Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The company announced that customers can pre-book the car by making a payment of Rs. 10,000 at any of the Datsun dealerships in the country. It also said that the deliveries of the vehicles will commence from January 23, 2018.
Jerome Saigot, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, said, "We keep customers at the heart of everything we do. During the last 20 months, we have launched four variants of Datsun redi-GO to address the changing needs of our customers. With the new redi-GO AMT, we aim to provide consumers with the convenience of city drive at an accessible price and best in class ground clearance, mileage, head room space, high seating position and attractive design."

Now, we've already driven the manual transmission variant of the redi-Go 1-litre and told you all about it. The AMT will also be available with the more powerful Intelligent Spark Automated Technology (iSAT) three cylinder engine.
On the features front, we do not expect to see any changes and the Datsun redi-GO AMT will continue to come with the existing offering like the LED daytime running lights, all-black cabin, sporty red accents for the seats, silver finish on the AC vents and the horn pad. The Datsun redi-GO 1.0 gets a regular CD player, USB (which does not charge your phone) AUX-In and no Bluetooth. Driver side airbag is offered as optional on the top-end trim.
Datsun offers the 1-litre engine only with the T(O) and S variants, so we expect the AMT unit to be offered with these two variants only. As for pricing with expect to see a premium of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 depending on the asking price of the variant chosen.
