Lewis Hamilton won a thrilling British Grand Prix after overtaking Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the penultimate lap of the race. At the beginning of the race, the 7-time world champion collided with championship leader Max Verstappen which resulted in him crashing out of the race causing a red flag. As a result of the crash, Hamilton was handed a 10 second time penalty which dropped him down to P4 after his pitstop but after showcasing storming pace on the hard set of tyres, the defending world champion charged through to win the race.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc came in at a brilliant P2 followed by Valtteri Bottas in the second Mercedes. Lando Norris in the McLaren came P4 followed by his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Carlos Sainz Jr in the second Ferrari put in a valiant recovery drive for P6 which even included a botched pitstop. Fernando Alonso in the Alpine put in a brilliant P7 followed by Lance Stroll in the sole Aston Martin to finish the race. His teammate Vettel spun while racing with Alonso which caused damage that eventually led to him retiring.

Leclerc led most of the race and was one the best drivers on show
Esteban Ocon in the other Alpine came P9 and Yuki Tsunoda came P10 in the AlphaTauri. His teammate Gasly finished P11 ahead of Williams star George Russell. Antonio Giovinazzi came P13 in the Alfa Romeo while his teammate Kimi Raikkonen managed just P15. Nicholas Latifi in the second Williams came P14.
