F1: Kimi Raikkonen To Be Back At Russian GP After COVID19

- The Finnish driver has announced that he has recovered from COVID19
- He recently announced his retirement from the sport
- He now has 8 more races to go to bookend his storied career in F1
Former F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen has posted on social media that he fit after his bout with COVID19 and will be back for the Russian GP. The 2007 world champion posted on his Instagram profile that he is fit again. Raikkonen is the most experienced driver in the history of the sport and the oldest driver on the current grid.
"I am all good. See you at the next GP," wrote the 41-year-old Finn who is slated to retire from the sport at the end of the season. He had announced his retirement just two races ago just before the start of the Dutch GP weekend after which he had tested positive and was forced to miss two back to back weekends.

Kimi Raikkonen pipped Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso in 2007 to win his maiden and only title
The Alfa Romeo driver will be leaving the sport and will be replaced by fellow Finn Valtteri Bottas who is currently with the Mercedes F1 team. In the last few races, Polish driver Robert Kubica has filled in for him. It should be noted that Alfa Romeo hasn't announced that he will be returning at Sochi.
The Russian GP is slated for the weekend of September 26 at the track at Sochi. It is a power-sensitive circuit that will likely suit cars powered by the Mercedes engine, something that's not in Raikkonen's current machinery which is powered by Ferrari.
