Ford Aims to Make Children's Day More Special

As part of its CSR (corporate social responsibility), Ford India launched 'Happy Schools' program in September, 2014 with an aim to provide 'holistic education' to children in primary schools near its facility in Chennai. This one-of-its-kind program, introduced under Ford's 'Global Week of Caring', will benefit 2000 children in 21 schools in Chennai.
"The Happy School Program aims to create ideal learning environments for children by bridging existing gaps. Besides enabling children to perform better academically, the program also helps them acquire critical life-skills that will lead to well-rounded development.", Ford India said in a statement.
Ford India initiated this unique program in Chennai and aims to, later, take it to schools near its operations in Sanand, Gujarat and Gurgaon, Haryana.
