Ford announced Red and Black Editions of the Fiesta hatchback which come with a more powerful iteration of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. The 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine line-up has gained a new member today in the form of a powerful 138bhp.
Ford of course says that the engine provides more power-per-litre than a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 458 Speciale. The Fiesta hatch will now be capable of doing a run from 0-100km/h in 9 seconds and top out at 201km/h.
The Fiesta Red and Black Editions get a stiffer and therefore sportier suspension setup. A five-speed manual gearbox and a tweaked electronic power assisted steering system also makes its way into the car.
Part of standard equipment form the Panther Black 16-inch alloy wheels or optional 17-inch, different side skirts and a roof-mounted spoiler. They also get front upper and lower grille surrounds, front bumper aerofoil and mirror caps in contrasting colour.
They do look good and from the looks of it will be a treat to drive. Ford has made them available on order.
