Geneva 2018: Skoda Fabia Facelift Makes Its World Premiere

2018 Skoda Fabia facelift has finally made its world premiere at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. While the car and all its specifications and details have already been revealed last month, in February 2018, this is the first time that the car has been unveiled in front of the public. The updated Fabia comes with new cosmetic updates along with a host of new features and styling elements. Skoda has revealed both the five-door hatchback and wagon iterations of the 2018 Fabia Facelift and is slated for a market launch in the second half of 2018.
Visually, the 2018 Skoda Fabia facelift comes with some considerable updates made to the front and the rear portion of the car. For the first time, the Fabia range will come with LED headlights and LED rear lights are available for the first time, and in addition, the car also gets new LED daytime running lights. Other highlights include revised front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and now Skoda offers new 18-inch wheels for the hatchback model.
Inside, Skoda offers a revised cabin that comes with a newly designed instrument cluster and redesigned seats. The range of driver assistance systems and 'Simply Clever' features have also been expanded, as now, the car gets an Online Traffic Information service with real-time information on traffic holdups. Furthermore, the car also comes with a new 6.5-inch infotainment system with SmartLink+ technology, equipped with features like - Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and SmartGate standards.
The Skoda Fabia facelift will also offer Online Traffic Information service with real-time information on traffic holdup. Under the hood, the Skoda Fabia will consist of four petrol drivetrains, each with three cylinders and a capacity of 1.0-litre with power output ranging from 55 bhp and 106 bhp. All engines come mated to a 7-Speed DSG gearbox as an option.
While we no longer gets the Skoda Fabia hatchback in India, globally, the car is a bestseller in the Czech carmaker's line-up.
