Skoda Fabia Facelift Revealed Ahead Of Geneva Debut

- The five-door hatchback will finally receive a mid-life makeover
- It will get revised LED headlights and LED taillights
- The Fabia facelift will be unveiled at Geneva next month
Last month Skoda teased the Fabia facelift, announcing to the world that the five-door hatchback will finally receive a mid-life makeover. The mildly updated Fabia in both of its five-door hatchback and wagon iterations will get revised LED headlights and LED taillights, with similarity to Octavia facelift. The engine will also come with refined performance and consists of four petrol drivetrains, while no diesel engine is on offer right away. The Fabia facelift will be unveiled at the upcoming International Motor Show 2018 in Geneva, with market launch set at second half of 2018.

The Skoda Fabia facelift gets front and rear design updates, while headlights and front fog lights comes with new outlines and state-of-the-art lighting technology. The LED headlights and LED rear lights are now being offered for the Skoda Fabia for the first time. The choice of alloy wheels has been extended too, including the addition of 18-inch wheels for the hatchback while the redesigned instrument cluster, new trim strips for the dashboard and two-tone finishes for the seats update the interior.
Inside, the infotainment system 'Swing' now offers a 6.5-inch display and comes with Skoda Connect. The Skoda Fabia facelift will also offer Online Traffic Information service with real-time information on traffic holdups. Meanwhile, innovative SmartLink+ technology makes it possible to enjoy all the benefits of the Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and SmartGate standards.

Under the hood, the Skoda Fabia will consist of four petrol drivetrains, each with three cylinders and a capacity of 1.0-litre. The MPI engines feature indirect injection and produce outputs of 55 bhp and 72 bhp respectively. The two TSI drivetrains are both packed with turbocharged and direct petrol injection, enabling them to generate 92 bhp and 106 bhp. Both TSI engines are fitted with a petrol particulate filter. All engines come mated to a 7-Speed DSG gearbox as an option.
