Honda X-Blade Bookings Commence In India; To Be Priced Under Rs. 79,000

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has commenced accepting bookings for the new X-Blade premium commuter motorcycle across all its dealerships. The new Honda X-Blade was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 and will be positioned below the Honda CB Hornet 160R in the manufacturer's stable. In fact, the new X-Blade shares its underpinnings with the Hornet 160R, while getting a sharper design language and an all-LED headlamp cluster, the latter being increasingly common in Honda's product line-up. HMSI says the decision to open bookings for the X-Blade was taken after the overwhelming response to the X-Blade at the Auto Expo 2018. The new motorcycle will be competing against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 in the segment.

The X-Blade deliveries will start from the middle of March on first-come-first-serve basis," said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India.
The new Honda X-Blade is built on the Honda CB Hornet 160R platform, sharing the same engine, chassis and cycle parts. Honda says the engine has been tuned differently to give the X-Blade better in-city performance, while offering superior fuel economy. The X-Blade gets re-worked bodywork, as well as an all-new, full LED headlamp cluster and is available in a choice of five different colours. Priced under Rs. 79,000 (ex-showroom), the Honda X-Blade offers a stylish and youthful 160 cc motorcycle at a very attractive price.
