Hrithik Roshan Becomes the First Customer of Renault Lodgy MPV in India

Renault India that had released the first picture of its upcoming MPV - the Lodgy - in December 2014, has now unveiled the vehicle at Renault Star Guild Awards. Unveiled among several Bollywood stars, Hrithik Roshan was given the first key of the MPV by Sumit Sawhney. Irrelevant of the fact if Hritikh Roshan uses this affordable MPV for his personal use or not, the move is certainly going to go in favour of Renault India.
While globally the Lodgy is sold under Dacia Brand, the India will get it under Renault badge. Expected to be rolled out in early 2015, the Indian model of the MPV will get some notable changes that will help Renault price it aggressively. The company hasn't yet revealed the exact engine specs and feature details, the vehicle will share its underpinning with other Renault products. The vehicle might use the same 1.5-litre, 84bhp diesel engine that also powers the Duster.

Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, "Innovation has been the hallmark of Renault throughout its 116 years of car-making history. For Renault, innovation means introducing features and services that are people centric, addressing real customer needs. The Renault Lodgy will redefine the segment as a complete 'Multi-Purpose Vehicle' and deliver best in segment performance, reconfirming Renault's commitment to Drive the Change as we have done with Duster in the recent past"
