Hyundai Kona Electric's Price Reduced; Now Priced At Rs. 23.71 Lakh

- The new, reduced price of the Hyundai Kona Electric is Rs. 23.71 lakh
- Hyundai has received 152 bookings for the Kona Electric so far
- It was launched at a price of Rs. 25.3 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
Hyundai Motor India has reduced the price of the Kona Electric from Rs. 25.3 lakh to Rs. 23.71 lakh (ex-showroom, India) as the government reduced the GST rate on electric vehicles from 12 per cent to 5 per cent. The government even reduced the GST rates on EV chargers from 18 per cent to 5 per cent. This definitely bodes well for electric vehicles in India and that could be seen in the fact that Hyundai received 152 bookings for the Kona Electric in just 20 days since it was launched. The reduced pricing on the Kona Electric will be effective from August 2019.
