At IBW 2016, Triumph will also display its range of superbikes and adventure bikes. The bikemaker arrived in India 2 years ago and has sold 2,500 units in the country so far. Its network of dealers in India includes 12 world-class stores that pan across the nation.
Vimal Sumbly, MD of Triumph Motorcycles India, commented on the fact that the Indian superbiking scenario has changed radically since it first started in 2007-2008 when only 400 units were sold. In contrast, the superbike industry managed to sell over 10,000 units last year.

We want to bring technology to the people. It's easy to build a big bike, but our strategy is to provide the most safest bike in India. We want to do 2,000 units a year by 2020." Additionally, Triumph is looking to cross the 65,000 units mark in terms of global annual sales by 2020.
