Ford Mustang is not just any other car. The ultimate Ford muscle car, this pony caught the eyes of many Indian celebrities when it entered the Indian market in 2016. It is a fast performer and for many hard core car lovers it was the homecoming of a long-lost love.
But long before its entry into India, the Mustang had garnered quite a following right since its classic car days in the 1960s. Those who could, paid huge import fees to bring home an editions of this powerful car, some paying additional exhorbitant sums for vintage editions. Due to its fan following, Ford Mustang became a super hit with more than 250 units sold in the first ten months of launch despite being a high-priced sports car. Let us see how many of those have made their way to the garages of popular Indian celebrities.

He imported the Shelby Mustang GT500 in 2008 which is eight years before the car officially entered the Indian market. The red car with white stripes gives the car a bold and quirky look, one that fits the personality of the actor well. The 5.4-liter petrol engine gives 500 bhp and 651Nm of torque.

Rohit Shetty and his love for fast cars are known to everyone. His movies are filled with high-speed chases and action scenes involving cars. So it came as no surprise when the Golmaal movie series director announced his purchase of a Ford Mustang GT. Naturally, being Rohit Shetty, he would buy a GT- a fastback & a performance variant of the Ford Mustang. The special shade of Hexis Matte Blue, the aftermarket Cervini bonnet and the RTR grille with integrated DRLs are custom additions from Daljit Auto Design (DAD), the Mumbai-based customizer. This one-of-a-kind Ford Mustang is in keeping with the reputation he has with cars for sure.
