While we have already driven the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in Australia and will bring you the detailed review for the same soon it is important to note that the Australian spec Compass is also made at the Ranjangaon Jeep factory just outside Pune. The Compass Trailhawk (as we mentioned earlier) did have an automatic gearbox, a 9-speed ZF unit that is different from the 6-speed version offered on the petrol 1.4-litre model in India. The gearbox is a traditional torque convertor with 9 speeds however it is prudent to note that Jeep India has not locked in the spec for the Indian market Compass Trailhawk and the gearbox here (if at all automatic) could differ.

The other changes in the Jeep Compass Trailhawk include a new underbody protection with new skid plates up front and at the rear to protect the likes of the engine and the rear differential. The Trailhawk also comes on all-terrain 225/60 R17 tyres on 17-inch rims that are two-toned and unique to the model. The Trailhawk also features a higher ride height as compared to the standard car an comes with heavy duty off-road suspension that has been tuned specifically to take a lot more abuse. Apart from these changes, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk will also feature an electronically selected low range transfer range and an added selectable rock mode. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk also gets hill decent control as standard equipment.

(Jeep Compass Trailhawk Badges)
Visually, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk is differentiated from the top end Limited by a large matte black decal on the bonnet and blacked out trim on the grille and side trim. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk will also get blacked out Jeep badges up front and at the rear along with the iconic 'Trail Rated' badge on the front fenders and the 'Trailhawk' badge on the boot lid. Changes on the interior will include all-black leather seats with Trailhawk badging and red piping and red accents on the dashboard.
