Kawasaki Ninja H2 Launched in India; Priced at Rs. 29 lakh

There has been a lot of interest surrounding the launch of a new bike from the Kawasaki stable and the relatively more restrained sibling of the frenzied H2R is finally here. Kawasaki has launched the Ninja H2 at Rs. 29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
After Kawasaki launched the Z250 and the ER-6n naked bikes in India, it was clear that it was increasing its focus on our market. The Ninja H2 is developed with crossover technologies from the Kawasaki Group and comes equipped with a 998cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, in-line four cylinder supercharged engine. The engine punches out a hefty 197bhp and develops 133.5 Nm of torque. The Ninja H2 will be offered with an option of Ram Air that hikes the power output to 207bhp. All that power helps it go past the 100km/h mark in 2.5 seconds which makes it the fastest bike in India.
According to Kawasaki, the H2 is designed for public roads and from what we can see, it looks the part. The newly designed trellis frame helps deliver straight-line stability and you can get your knee down in corners for Kawasaki says that the H2 has excellent balance of rigidity. The styling of the bike is heavily inspired from the big brother Kawasaki Ninja H2R but it has something unique too. The additions of headlamp, turn indicators, tail lamp and rear-view mirrors give it a different look altogether. According to Kawasaki, the mirrors have been designed to assist high-speed stability and there is also a a chin spoiler on the fairing which helps deliver down force to the front wheel.
The H2 will be available at all 5 of the Kawasaki showrooms which are currently in Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata and will come to India as a CBU. Looking to tap more cities, the company plans to open 3-4 more showrooms this fiscal year so that many others have a chance to lay their hands on the bike of their choice. Kawasaki also promises its fans that 1 or 2 more models are expected to come to India this year.
