Know the Ideal Driving Position

One thing before you start driving is to know and find the ideal seating position so that you don't face any major back problems. When you sit behind the wheel, finding the right driving position isn't only important from the point of view of comfort but also the perspective of safety. Therefore you should know that being seated correctly behind the wheel ensures that you have better visibility. If you have the correct position it can protect you from accidents as you can react faster to dangerous situations and mostly it protects you from back pain.

Things to remember while adjusting the seats:
You must know that the first thing to keep in mind is that your leg must reach the pedals. If you want to reach the pedals properly then you must bring the seat forward and check if you can depress the pedals completely. If you can do that then the next thing one must check is if you can back a notch at a time until you can just about depress the pedals completely without stretching your leg. Next comes your arms, you must keep them stretched over the wheel so that it will be the ideal position for your wrist as it will rest on the top of the wheel. If you do this you will have better control on your elbows and the required grip on the steering wheel. You just have to keep in mind that your elbows are not too close to your body while turning.

Some other points worth remembering
The next which you must keep in mind is the seat height. From the lowest position, start increasing the height until your hips are either at the same height as your knees or slightly lower, it helps with good posture. This is important for your safety. Please make sure that you have a good view of the road ahead and if by any chance you feel that you need to be even higher, then you can go up one notch and check the pedal position again.

Now if we talk about the steering wheel. We can even adjust the steering wheel and one must remember a few things while adjusting the steering wheel. You have to make sure that you don't adjust the steering wheel too low because if you do that then you will hurt your knees while you take sharp turns, likewise if you adjust it too high, your shoulders will hurt therefore a correct posture is very important and that depends on how you adjust it.
