Honda has launched a limited-run Sports edition of the Dio 110cc scooter in India. The limited-run variant gets some cosmetic updates over the regular Dio with no changes under the skin. The Sports edition is available in two variants, Standard and Deluxe priced at Rs 68,317 and Rs 73,317 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
In terms of pricing, the Dio Sports Standard costs about Rs 500 more than the regular Dio Standard while the Sports Deluxe costs about Rs 2,000 more than the standard Deluxe but gets some additional bits over the regular scooter.
The Dio Sports is available in two new colours - Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. Alloy wheels specific to the Deluxe variant
As with its name, Honda has tried to give the special edition Dio a sportier appeal with new livery and Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black dual-tone paint finishes. The rear suspension spring is additionally now painted as well. While the Standard variant only gets the two new paint shades, the Deluxe is available with black finished alloy wheels – not available on the standard Dio.
The features remain unchanged from the standard models with the Deluxe getting bits such as a digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps and 3-step eco indicator.
Power comes from the same 110cc, fuel injected single cylinder motor as the standard scooter.
