Lohia Auto Enter Nepal With Its First Petrol Three-Wheeler

The home-grown automaker, Lohia Auto, today announced foraying outside India to its first international market, Nepal. To kick-start its global business, the company has launched its first petrol-powered three-wheeler auto rickshaw, which will cater to both passenger and cargo vehicle segments in the country. The automaker has also appointed a distributor for its vehicles and gradually plans to expand its dealer network in Nepal. Lohia Auto will also be exporting to other countries in South East Asia and neighbouring countries as a part of its first phase of international expansion.
Sharing insights on expansion plans of Lohia Auto, Ayush Lohia, CEO of Lohia Auto Industries said "Internationally, we plan to foray in South East Asia and neighbouring countries, to begin with as these are emerging markets with a lot of potential. We have started with Nepal internationally and also launched a petrol vehicle for the first time." Talking about the company's first product for Nepal and the company's future plans, Lohia added, "The Industry of three-wheeler is estimated to be 2500 units per annum. We plan to sell 600 units within the first year. To achieve this figure our aim is to appoint 10 dealers in next one year in Nepal as there is immense potential and we have already kicked started well."

In India, Lohia Auto Industries' major focus has been electric vehicles and offers a range of electric three-wheelers and e-scooters in the country. In addition to that, the company also offers a diesel-powered auto rickshaw for both passenger and cargo vehicle segment. The company has a Pan India presence with a strong dealer network across India. Directly the brand is associated with 100+ dealers Pan India.
