Magenta To Hire Over 340 New Employees In 2022 As Part Of Expansion Plan

- Magenta will be hiring more than 340 employees in 2022
- It wants to expand its presence in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR
- Along with tech hires it's also looking for talents for other departments
Electric vehicle charging and mobility solutions provider, Magenta, has announced that it will be hiring more than 340 employees in 2022. The hiring announcement is part of the company's expansion plan, which will see Magenta grow its geographical presence with new offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR. The company, which had tripled the size of its workforce in the previous year, says that talent acquisition is critical for Magenta's next phase of expansion. It is looking for a variety of positions, including entry-level, mid-level, and experienced candidates.

Commenting on the announcement, Maxson Lewis - Founder Director, Magenta said, "Magenta has a strong growth plan lined up for the financial year 2022-23 driven by the multiple fold growth we achieved in FY 2022. We have set up audacious but achievable plans in tango with the growing EV ecosystem in India and abroad. The next 6-12 months are critical for the company's growth ambitions; hence we are looking to hire 340+ people to match the demand of current and future businesses."

Magenta is looking to hire people with specific technical skill-sets which include Embedded product design and development, Infrastructure Network Management and Telematics, under its three business verticals EVET (EV Fleet), ChargeGrid (Charging stations) and Axiom (Chargers). Along with the technical fields, the company is hiring talent across Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Communications. The talent acquisition team is actively participating in multiple campus and off-campus drives and planning to hire across Tier 1 and 2 Institutes.

Magenta has been seeing strong growth in the Indian market. Over the previous year, the company's revenue has increased 54-fold, and its workforce strength has tripled. Last year, the company launched its new business line EVET, and also acquired Axiom, bolstering its manufacturing presence in the EV ecosystem.

Seed funded by HPCL in 2018 and backed by the Microsoft Global Start-up Programme, Magenta had raised pre-series funding from JAN (JITO Angel Network) and LetsVentures. It was also followed by Series A funding by Indian American philanthropist, billionaire, and serial entrepreneur, Kiran Patel. Right now, the brand is in discussions to raise Series B funding in 2022.
