Mahindra S101 Spotted In Mumbai Sans Camouflage

The XUV100 will be the third sub-4 meter vehicle to join Mahindra's Indian line-up after the Quanto and the TUV300. Like its cousins, the XUV100 too comes with a beefy persona that is further accentuated by the character lines on its side, flared wheel arches and the muscular bonnet.
While the latest images do not give us a clear view of the front section, the clear rear section reveals a lot about the car. The curvy hatch door looks neat and sports a rear windshield wiper and a spoiler. The boot might be quite spacious, but judging by the images we feel it is too high up from the ground and placing huge luggage might be a little tedious for some.

You'll also find a muscular black plastic rear bumper that will house the number plate and looks like an extension of the underbody cladding. The XUV100 also comes with a blackened B-pillar and Beat-style rear door handles.

The sloping roofline also sports two black attachments that look like roof rails but they aren't. The vehicle stands on a stylish set of multi-spoke alloy wheels that appear to be 14-inchers.

Under the hood the Mahindra XUV100 is expected to come with two engine options - an all-new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor, which could very well a retuned version of the mHawk80 unit that powers the Mahindra TUV300. Transmission options could include a five-speed manual and probably an AMT unit.
It is believed that Bollywood actor Varun Dhavan will be the brand ambassador for the Mahindra XUV100, but we cannot official confirm it yet.
