Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Unveil Today: What We Know So Far

- Maruti Suzuki will unveil the new Grand Vitara compact SUV today.
- It is based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
- Expect a festive season launch for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Maruti Suzuki India will introduce its flagship compact SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in India today, to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor as well as its sibling, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in the country. Like the latter, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will also feature a mild-hybrid and a strong hybrid powertrain, along with the optional All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system. Ahead of its global unveil today, we tell you everything we know so far about the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
At the back, we expect the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara to feature wraparound LED taillights, a two-piece LED light bar, and Grand Vitara lettering.

Starting with the design of the car, we expect the silhouette of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara to be on the lines of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder with a few similar elements carried over. However, Maruti Suzuki India will give its own unique touches to the front section of the car that would help it differentiate from its sibling. Expect a new grille at the front with a single slat and chrome inserts while the split headlamp design would give it an aggressive stance. Expect a dual-tone colour scheme with a black roof while the alloy wheels would also sport a dual-tone treatment. At the back, we expect the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara to feature wraparound LED taillights, a two-piece LED light bar, and Grand Vitara lettering.
The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will also feature a panoramic sunroof.

The cabin of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara could be largely sourced from the recently launched Maruti products such as the Baleno, XL6, and even the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza. And so, expect a dual-tone theme for the cabin with soft-touch materials across the dashboard, door pads, and more. The touchscreen infotainment system could well likely be a 9-inch unit, while the car will also receive a Head-Up Display (HUD), a 360-degree camera, and possibly a fully digital instrument cluster. The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will also feature a panoramic sunroof.

At the heart of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara would be two petrol engines coupled to either a mild-hybrid system or a strong-hybrid option, while transmission will be handled by a 6-speed manual unit and an automatic unit. We also expect Maruti Suzuki to offer its AllGrip or AWD system with the Grand Vitara.
