Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Final Edition Revealed; Marks The End For the Current E 63

- Final Edition limited to just 999 units
- Powered by the familiar 603 bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8
- Will be available as a sedan or estate.
Mercedes is set to reveal an all-new E-class sometime next year and in the build-up to its debut the company is bidding farewell to the E 63 performance sedan and estate. The carmaker has now revealed a limited run Final Edition of the E63 S which marks the end of the production run of the model. The Final Edition will be limited to just 999 units and will be available solely in a matt graphite grey paint shade. Compared to the standard E 63, the Final Edition packs in a number of add-on packs to the car which had to previously be optioned.
Adding to the dark paint finish, the Final Edition gets AMG's Night Package as standard adding even more blacked-out cosmetic elements such as the 20-inch wheels, grille, wing mirrors and exhaust pipe finishers. Additionally, buyers will be provided the option of choosing AMG's Carbon Packs when speccing their models.

Final Edition solely available in grey and gets AMG's Night Pack as standard.
Inside, the E 63 Final Edition gets the optional AMG Performance seats as standard replete with power adjustment and seat heating function. The seats are finished in Nappa leather titanium grey or black with yellow contrast stitching. The cabin is also trimmed in carbon fibre with an “AMG Final Edition” badge housing the model number sitting on the centre console.
Mercedes has not revealed any changes to the E 63's powertrain. The high-performance model continues to be powered by the familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 pushing out 603 bhp and sending power to all four wheels.

The final edition will be available in both the sedan and estate body styles of the E 63.
As per reports, the current E 63 is likely to be the last generation of the performance luxury sedan to use a V8. The next-gen model is expected to follow the likes of the upcoming AMG C 63 and drop the V8 engine in favour of a smaller unit paired with an onboard battery and electric motors to deliver on performance.
