Mercedes-Benz India Continues As India's Bestselling Luxury Carmaker In H1 2022

Mercedes-Benz India continues to be the highest selling luxury carmaker in the country in the last two quarters selling 7573 units in the January-June period. The company has again outperformed its German counterpart, BMW that recently announced its highest ever H1 sales in India selling 5570 units in the January-June period. Mercedes-Benz India recorded a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 56 per cent when compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The German carmaker claims that the robust sales in Q2 were achieved despite significant headwinds like the global supply side challenges that led to longer waiting periods and continuous increase in its operating costs.
