Next Generation Ford Endeavour Coming Soon to India

Ford had showcased the next-gen Endeavour SUV in the form of the Everest concept at the 2014 Bangkok Motorshow. Though this 7-seater SUV is a global product, it will be first introduced in the ASEAN markets, which means its launch in India is not far now.
Ford has already brought the car to India for Research and Development, and are expected to begin testing the car on Indian roads soon. One look at the concept, and you can tell how evolved the new Endeavour will look, as compared to its predecessor.

The car gets a bold, chrome and EcoSport-like trapezoidal grille, swept-back head-lamps, and new fog-lamp housings. The meaty wheel-arches on the sides give the SUV a muscular stance, and takes a completely new design direction, instead of retaining its predecessor's boxy looks.
Under the hood, we will see a 2.2-litre and a 3.2 litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, which will come with two- or four-wheel-drive, and the option of manual and automatic gearboxes.

Ford has already said that the new Endeavour will be manufactured in Thailand, and which leads us to believe that its will arrive in India via the CKD route, much like the old model. Upon its arrival in India, the new Endeavour SUV will compete with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner. Now let us all hope Ford India prices the SUV competitively.
