Niranjan Gupta Steps Down As CEO Of Hero MotoCorp

- Niranjan Gupta has resigned as CEO of Hero MotoCorp.
- To serve in his current position till April 30.
- Vikram Kasbekar to take over as acting CEO.
Niranjan Gupta has stepped down as the CEO of Hero MotoCorp. An exchange filing from Hero MotoCorp confirmed the news, stating that Gupta has put down his papers, and is “moving on to pursue new opportunities. It was also mentioned that Vikram Kasbekar, Executive Director of the company will take over as acting CEO with effect from May 1, 2025. Gupta will serve in his current position, which he has held since May 2023, till April 30, his last working day.

Vikram Kasbekar will assume the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer. An industry veteran with experience spanning Research & Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, Vikram will guide the organization and leadership through this transition until a new CEO is appointed”

Niranjan Gupta joined Hero MotoCorp in 2017 as the chief financial officer (CFO) before being promoted to CEO in 2023. His tenure at Hero MotoCorp saw the launch of the Hero Mavrick 440 and Harley-Davidson X440, the first product that resulted from Hero’s collaboration with the iconic American motorcycle brand. Hero also confirmed last December that it is set to co-develop a new motorcycle with Harley-Davidson.
