Porsche Launches GTS Models of Boxster and Cayman in India

Porsche India today launched the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS here - extending the GTS principle to the two models for the first time ever. GTS, which stands for Gran Turismo Sport, translates to outstanding performance, thanks to the uprated engines and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) chassis.
In terms of design, the two get a distinctive front and modified rear end, blackened bi-xenon headlights - with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) - and tail-lights.

Based on the 3.4-litre units from the Boxster S and Cayman S, the 6-cylinder boxer engines have been tuned to deliver extra power and torque. While the Boxster GTS now puts out 330bhp, the Cayman GTS churns out 340bhp - which is 15bhp over the power figures of the standard models. As far as the torque goes, it has been increased by 10Nm in each.
The Boxster GTS sprints from 0-100Km/h in 4.7 seconds and offers a top-speed of 279 km/h. The Cayman GTS, on the other hand, goes from standstill to 100Km/h in 4.6 seconds and is even faster at 283Km/h. Porsche claims the new top models deliver a fuel-efficiency figure of about 12Km/l according to the New European Driving Cycle.

Anil Reddi, Director, Porsche India, says, "With the introduction of the GTS versions of the Boxster and Cayman, we are catering to Porsche purists and true sports car enthusiasts in the country. These two new Porsche sports cars excel visually and dynamically, and assure a rewarding ownership and driving experience."
Ex-showroom prices for the new Boxster and Cayman GTS:
Boxster GTS (Delhi): Rs. 11,500,000
Boxster GTS (Maharashtra): Rs. 11,290,000
Cayman GTS (Delhi): Rs. 11,750,000
