Revamped Benelli TNT 600i Spotted In China

- Updated Benelli TNT 600i gets a lot of styling changes
- New Benelli TNT 600i will meet the upcoming BS-VI emission norms
- Benelli India likely to launch new TNT 600i by the end of 2019
Benelli will update its middleweight naked, the Benelli TNT 600i to meet the upcoming Bharat Stage VI emission regulations, which will come into force from April 1, 2020. While there's no news on when the updated model will be launched, the updated Benelli TNT 600i has already been spotted in China. The TNT 600i will get minor styling updates, with a few mechanical changes as well to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Launched in India in 2015, the Benelli TNT600i was last updated in 2017 with anti-lock brakes (ABS). And now, it's all set to receive its first comprehensive update with sharper looks and a revised engine.

The updated Benelli TNT 600i will get a LED headlight
The front headlight has been updated with a LED unit and now looks sharp and modern. The fuel tank also has gone through some changes with sharp creases now lending it sportier appeal. The tail section seems to have undergone a lot of changes, with Benelli replacing the twin underseat exhausts for a single exhaust which will likely be placed on the right side of the bike. The tail section also now loses the number plate holder, which seems to have been moved to the rear tyre hugger. Also new is a full-colour digital instrument panel, with a speedometer, odometer, rev counter, gear position indicator trip meters.

The new Benelli TNT 600i will get a full-colour instrument console
The engine is likely to remain the same in-line four-cylinder 600 cc unit which is quite well known for its trademark exhaust note. The current engine puts out around 83 bhp and 55 Nm, and it remains to be seen if the changes in the engine to meet the new emission standards will mean a change in the power and torque output. The Benelli TNT 600i is priced at Rs. 6.2 lakh (ex-showroom) and the new model is likely to see a price revision once it's launched, possibly later this year, or by early 2020.
Italian motorcycle brand Benelli is owned by China's Qiangjiang group. In India, Benelli is now operating under new management in its second innings, and is considering to set up a R&D facility, as well as a full-blown manufacturing facility in India.
