Story of a Toddler's Batmobile

When we first laid eyes on Christopher Nolan's version of Batman, us automotive nerds were all keen to see what his version of the Batmobile would be all about. When we did finally get to lay eyes on the Batmobile, err.. the Tumbler - as it is referred to in Nolan's trilogy - it is safe to say there was a lot of drooling involved.
Since then, we've come across several replicas of this wicked vehicle, some of which were more functional than others. It goes without saying that most of us lusted after the vehicle and wished to own it some day. However, the green monster hit us hard when we heard that there is a toddler who, in fact, is ferried around in a stroller inspired by the Tumbler.
The stroller, a 'Super-Fan Builds' project is modeled after the Tumbler from the 'Dark Knight' trilogy, and sports a beastly base, a steel frame for reinforcement, and a handle - for the parents to push.
Before we start raving about the stroller like little girls, here's a little background about how it came to be. Super-Fan Builds is a web-series where Tim Baker, who makes specialty props, builds one-of-a kind collectibles for 'super-fans. Maressa Earl nominated her husband Josh as the ultimate Batman fan and revealed that his love for the Dark Knight was starting to rub off on their son Collin. She requested the Super-Fan Builds team to make something that both, Josh and Collin, could appreciate. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the Batmobile stroller came to be.
The quest started with a 3D replica of the Tumbler, which was then followed by a miniature paper model of the final stroller. Once that was in place, the 3D model was used to machine cut individual slates, which were then manually heated and molded into the shell for the Batmobile stroller. The team used a child car seat to provide not only a safe, but also a comfortable place for Collin to sit. The stroller also features details like glass windows, lights, exhaust residue, and shocks.
