Suzuki Intruder 150 Images Leaked Online

Suzuki Motorcycle India is all set to launch a new product in the Indian market on November 7. According to reports, the new bike will be 150 cc cruiser motorcycle, and named the Suzuki Intruder 150. Images of the new motorcycle have now leaked online, ahead of the launch, giving some weight to the speculations. We will soon get to ride the bike, but so far details are scarce on the powerplant and specifications about the new Suzuki cruiser. Going by the leaked images, the new Intruder does take some design inspiration from the larger Suzuki Intruder M1800R.
Powertrain wise, the new Suzuki Intruder 150 is expected to borrow the 154.9 cc air-cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine that currently does duty on the company's top-selling motorcycle Gixxer. In the Gixxer, the engine makes about 14 bhp and develops a peak torque of 14 Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. For the cruiser however, Suzuki may re-tune the engine to give it more relaxed performance, with better low- and mid-range torque.

Styling wise, the new Suzuki Intruder 150 is a butch looking cruiser with a flowing design and bulging shoulders and what appears to be the Intruder badging, on the tank. The bike comes with a large headlamp with a wide black band at the end and nice bucket-style rider seat and a small seat for the pillion. Up front, the bike comes with telescopic forks and a rear monoshock along with disc brakes and black alloys for both front and rear wheel. ABS may be offered as a single channel unit as well. There is also a belly pan and dual exhaust and some chrome elements.
In terms of engine displacement, the new Suzuki Intruder 150 will rival the Bajaj Avenger Street 150, but looking at all the bells and whistles offered, the bike is likely to be priced more in the Avenger Cruise 220's territory. In any case, we will get to know more about it once the bike is launched on November 7, 2017.
